About craftycreeky

I live in a busy market town in Yorkshire with my husband, kids, dogs and chickens. I love trying new crafts, rediscovering old ones, gardening, walking...anything creative really I started this blog after my New Year resolution worked so well. My resolution (the first one I've ever kept!) was to post a photograph of my garden on Facebook every day. My hope was that I would then see what was good in the garden and not just weeds and work, which was my tendency. The unexpected side-effect was that I have enjoyed many more hours in the garden. I am hoping that 'The Crafty Creek' will have the same effect. Happy creating!

Stitching my Garden SAL

I was hoping to have finished this area of the garden by now but I found there is a disadvantage in having a hedge (ish) of wild roses across the back of the garden, it takes forever to embroider!! I … Continue reading

Staying Home HQAL

Well I’m quite excited this morning as I’m pretty close to a happy dance, not quite, but close! Three weeks ago when I last shared this quilt (which I started in 2020, hence the name) I was nearly at the … Continue reading

Magnolia Stellata

One of my favourite trees in the garden is my magnolia stellata, it’s dainty white flowers brave the early spring weather to put on an amazing display and their scent is beautiful too. When I started my garden textile book … Continue reading
