I didn’t get chance last weekend to show you my progress with the Sampler Aux Bouquets, so hopefully you’ll see a big change. It was my daughter’s 18th birthday, so the weekend just flew by, a bit like the last 18 years, one minute they’re babes in arms, blink and they’re grown up…
This sampler is growing a lot quicker than I thought it would, it’s actually three samplers stitched as one, I’m now almost half way through the second one. The photo above pretty much shows Sampler 3. When it’s finished the design will measure about 18cm by 90cm! I love the colours in it, it’s designed by Nathalie Cichon of Jardin Privee, I really think she needs to take some more photos, as I probably wouldn’t have bought the pattern if I hadn’t seen it on Hilda’s Good Life blog!
There’s lots going on on this sampler to keep me interested, a squirrel, birds, butterflies and a gorgeous little rabbit. It’s the same as the rabbit on the Way to Happiness sampler I stitched over the summer, very cute! You could almost play I Spy with kids, or maybe Find Flopsy (as opposed to Where’s Wally!!)
Linking up with Kathy for Slow Stitching Sunday and Super Mom No Cape for Vintage Embroidery Monday, why not have a look what everyone else is stitching…

I just love samplers and, oh my goodness, yours is beautiful. A lot to keep one interested, for sure!

Great. It’s maybe not too late for me to think about one even though my eldest is suddenly unaccountably 32 – I agree, those years just flew past! My grandson is 6. 6!

I never tire of the traditional cross stitch samplers. An 18th birthday is a special celebration. They do grow up quickly.

My goodness you really have made a lot of progress on this fun sampler.
And yes… those years really do fly by. Our oldest turned 30 this year and I really and truly had a hard time wrapping my mind around that for a few days afterwards. 🙂
Thanks so much for linking up to last week’s Stitchery Link Party and for the link back. Aloha hugs!
