Winnie the Pooh

It’s just over a week since I shared my progress with the Winnie the Pooh birth sampler. At that point I had just three letters left to stitch, but I also had to finish Pooh and the bees, then do all the back-stitch as well as some Algerian crosses…

I think seeing the end was not too far away spurred me on even more and I finished it a couple of days ago…

I love it, it’s been a delight to stitch, I love the freshness of the design. It’s a design by Freckledoll on Etsy, the charts were nice and clear too, I’d happily buy one of her designs again. I adapted it slightly as the F was one of the smallest letters of the design but obviously I wanted it a bit bigger, so I redrew the F bigger and the G smaller which I think has worked out well.

Winnie the Pooh is now down at the framers and will be ready in good time for Frankie’s first birthday.

About craftycreeky

I live in a busy market town in Yorkshire with my husband, kids, dogs and chickens. I love trying new crafts, rediscovering old ones, gardening, walking...anything creative really I started this blog after my New Year resolution worked so well. My resolution (the first one I've ever kept!) was to post a photograph of my garden on Facebook every day. My hope was that I would then see what was good in the garden and not just weeds and work, which was my tendency. The unexpected side-effect was that I have enjoyed many more hours in the garden. I am hoping that 'The Crafty Creek' will have the same effect. Happy creating!
