This is our conservatory wall, my OH finds it amusing as the clock is now set at 10 to 2, he chuntered so much about it having a loud tick that I took the batteries out, it took him several weeks to notice!
I’ve got a kit from Springwood Designs to make a clock for my sewing room, I bought it a couple of years ago at one of the shows in Harrogate. I’m still trying to decide whether to make it with fabric wedges like the pattern…
or sewing themed fabric, maybe plain fabric with embroidery…or buttons

…decisions! There’s lots of ideas on Pinterest, I just need the time to sit down, make a decision and make a clock!

Your conservatory clock story made me smile as we have an old French art deco clock on our mantelpiece and not only does it have a loud tick but it chimes so I don’t wind it any more and, guess what time it’s stuck at? – yes, 10 to 2.

My antique wall clock needs winding. And where has it stopped? 10 past 10. Much the same thing… I love that last clock idea with the ribbons and notions. That’s the one I’d be making, especially with those pretty decorated hands.

The notions are cute, though I personally would tame them down just a bit. 😆 They seem a little too random to my eyes! Silly me!

It looks nice on the wall, working or not – funny that your husband didn’t even notice! I made a crochet clock a few years ago and it draws lots of comments so whichever one you choose – go for it!
