Friday Photo Challenge

These Fridays seeme to come round awfully quick! Today’s word set by Postcard from Gibraltar is Button.

Buttons can be functional…

…they can be markers, the buttons on my Australia cushion mark Melbourne, where my OH was born, Brisbane where he lived as a child, and Sydney where his son and brothers live.

Australia by Granny Maud's Girl

…buttons can just be pretty…
Clover cross-stitch small

…adding a finishing touch…
Field of Flowers Embroidery

…they can be an alternative to sequins on my Lizzy Sewing Wallet…

…or my favourite, they can be stitched on with love , Helen made me this for Mothers Day đŸ™‚

About craftycreeky

I live in a busy market town in Yorkshire with my husband, kids, dogs and chickens. I love trying new crafts, rediscovering old ones, gardening, walking...anything creative really I started this blog after my New Year resolution worked so well. My resolution (the first one I've ever kept!) was to post a photograph of my garden on Facebook every day. My hope was that I would then see what was good in the garden and not just weeds and work, which was my tendency. The unexpected side-effect was that I have enjoyed many more hours in the garden. I am hoping that 'The Crafty Creek' will have the same effect. Happy creating!

I love the last card you have shared what a wonderful thing for your daughter to write. I also love the ones on your sewing book.

Buttons are surprising, unusual, decorative and workhorses, such simple things that make our lives so much better! Lovely photos and post.
